The Test

We took our test on July 12, I was a little nervous. I was more nervous for Molly than for myself. I think Molly parellel parked perfectly, it took me twice for get it.
We past our test with no points.

The teacher

The last driving lesson, I drove on the highway and the speed limit was 55. I was very nervous because I didn't like going over 40. I was so tight, I started to lose the feeling in my left hand from gripping the steering wheel. When I turned off the highway and on to another road, I was glad to see the speed limit was 45. By that time I decided to tell the instuctor about my hand because by then I was a little concerned that I couldn't feel my left thumb. He told me to lower my hands on the wheel and after a while I got the feeling in my hand back. I did some merging and changing lanes. I think the lesson went well.

The "Doggie Paddle"

Driving around things and making turns at the right speed and time isn't easy to do. In this picture Mom is doing the "doggie paddle". She does this when we're not turning or going around an object like a car or trash can.

Driving to the chinese restaurant

A few days ago we went driving to a chinese food place. Molly did well. I don't think there were a lot of cars. Molly drove there and I drove back. I think I did okay, I drove through a parking lot, I accidentally ran a stop sign there. When I pulled into our driveway I went to fast and gave Mom and Molly a couple of G forces. The driveway is a little bit before an incline so pulling in makes me a little nervous. I think it went pretty well.

Driving to the YMCA

Yesterday Mom, Molly, and I went to the YMCA. I drove there and Molly drove back. It went pretty well. We drove during rush hour but there weren't that many cars. When we got there I didn't see the painted arrow on the parking lot until I drove over it so I accidently went in the wrong way. I was going to go to the back of the parking lot so I wouldn't have to worry about parking next to the other cars. An other car came toward our car from the other way so I stopped so they could go by. But she stopped too. Mom waved to her to let her know she could go. So she drove up next to the driver's side of the car and yelled at Mom for going the wrong way and that you could hurt someone. I was driving and Mom was in the passenger seat at the time. I wasn't in the middle of the lane and I had stopped when I saw her. Other then that it was good.

Driving to the grocery store

We drove to the grecery store again today. I think it went well, there wasn't much traffic. It rained a little while Molly was driving. When we got to the store the rain had stopped. When I drove I ended up with a tail of four cars.

Grocery store

Today we drove to the grocery store. Molly did really well. She had two vehicles following her on the way home and she didn't let them pressure her. I think I did okay. I had a groundhog in the road and a few people. Also, I confused some drivers on two turns. I think we were a little more relax.
